Swatchbox Technologies Creates a Unique Virtual Fan Deck for Kravet Using Benjamin Moore Color Palettes

BOSTON, February 2, 2010 - Swatchbox Technologies, the most innovative player in virtual design tools for the home, is excited to announce the launch of Kravet's new virtual paint fan deck featuring Benjamin Moore color palettes.

Benjamin Moore, one of the country's leading manufacturers of premium maintenance coatings, teamed up with Kravet, a family-owned business specializing in fabrics and furnishings in the home decorative industry, and Swatchbox to create a unique virtual fan deck. As leaders in both color design and quality, Benjamin Moore and Kravet formed an alliance to benefit the design community.

Previously, the industry leaders provided coordinating fabric books and color kits. Yet recently, Benjamin Moore approached Swatchbox Technologies with the idea of developing a virtual paint fan deck. The virtual fan deck would serve the same purpose in the design community as prior efforts. For instance, interior designer Barclay Butera's new fabric collection has its own Benjamin Moore color palettes; ranging from the blue-green colors of the beach to the rich earth tones of the mountains.

Other palettes include designer-recommended color combinations as well as individual color family palettes. Kravet's site visitors and the design community can toggle back-and-forth between palettes in the virtual fan deck and get a feel for what works best with Kravet's products.

"Interior design has come of digital age," said Doty Horn, Benjamin Moore's director of color and design. "At Benjamin Moore and Kravet we're meeting the challenge and leading the way in translating tools of the trade so that they're only a click away on a designer's desktop. It's a shared commitment we have to help design professionals work smarter and more effectively."

Benjamin Moore has been a loyal customer of Swatchbox Technologies for many years. Last year Benjamin Moore launched a new Personal Color Viewer where website visitors can upload one of their rooms and begin experimenting with different color palettes. A new share feature allows users to share their work with friends and family through social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
